MAYOR UP AT TOP AND SEES THE MUNICIPALITY “A BIT FROM ABOVE”
Mayor Bo Andersen in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality literally rises high at the Danish Road Cycling Championship. The reason is that the cycling club Cycling Odense has entered into an agreement with BAS Cranes, which recently acquired the world’s largest Spiering crane. The crane has a weight of 84 tons and can reach as far as a football field. A quick contact between the cycling club and the crane company was established and the result is that the mayor now, in addition to firing the official launch shot from a basket suspended in the crane on Sunday June 29 and sending the cyclists out on their championship run, will have a unique experience, seeing Faaborg city “a bit from above”.
